My first time ever in nantasket. Unfortunately, the room I was giving, was dirty, not cleaned. Not made. After driving 6 hours and bring a large family plus paying decent money, it's not something I was looking for. I got upgraded to an ocean view room. Smaller. But the smell of natural gas was concerning, so I called the office. Shut my fire place off and been find since.

We booked a Deluxe Ocean View room through a third-party booking platform, but when we arrived, the hotel told us that the room only had a partial ocean view. According to the hotel, a true full ocean view room is called “Ocean Front.” However, the booking platform did not show any “Ocean Front” option, and there was no disclaimer explaining that “Ocean View” actually meant only a partial view. The photos were also misleading because they mainly showed the ocean and did not show the parking lot or other parts of the actual view. Our room looked out mostly over the parking lot, with only a small portion of the ocean visible. Most guests would reasonably assume that an “Ocean View” room means a clear ocean view, not a parking lot view with some ocean in the distance. The hotel’s own website appears to explain the room categories more clearly, but the listings on third-party booking platforms do not properly distinguish between partial ocean view and oceanfront rooms. This creates a misleading impression for customers at the time of booking. After a long drive, we told the hotel that we could not accept the difference between what had been presented during booking and what we actua

Overall, a good experience. Some of the reviews made me nervous, but we had a good experience. The room was clean and the mattress was nice and firm. It was much quieter than I had expected given the location. We didn't have any issues with noise. The restaurant was good. Very busy. The parking situation was not great but the holiday likely exacerbated that. The coffee shop downstairs wasnt great.
